 From the ruminations of the Ambassador of Oaksterdam:
1.It is a state of mind. Intangible, yet iconic. It is an understanding
of the cannabis culture that exists at the confluence of Oakland and
Amsterdam, sister cities.
2.Geographically, it is Uptown Oakland where 4 thriving dispensaries
and the leading medical marijuana card issuer in the nation are serving
the population's herbal needs in a safe, comfortable, attractive
environment.
3.Where the people of Oakland passed Measure Z in 2004 by 65.2% of the
vote. Measure Z allows Oakland police to focus their time and resources
on fighting violent crime and reducing the murder rate, instead of
wasting their time on adult nonviolent marijuana offenses.
