La Brea Collective takes the fifth
place prize in this year's competition.

In the heart of L.A. just minutes from Hollywood and Downtown a hidden gem...LBC. Enter: La Brea, a two story collective including a full concentrate bar where flowers can be purchased, along with medicated health shakes and such. At the entrance, friendly security stand awaiting to open the doors to a mellow yellow painted establishment decorated with tapestries. The bottom floor is designated for flowers offering some of Cali’s finest of strains. Upstairs, La Brea’s very own Hash bar, stools, lounge couches, and all. Featured budtender Dave resembles Doc with glasses and the kindest, lighthearted of attitudes. What’s more impressive is his knowledge of cannabis whether it be business, current events, strains or the processes which occur when producing concentrates. Dave is the know all. I can honestly say, “Dave, you’re an encyclopedia and an inspiration.”

The staff is without a doubt hospitable and accommodating to the needs of all their patients. Coming from Oakland to L.A, it was refreshing to step into what might be the closest place to home, away from home. LBC has a comfortable setting, amazing staff and all around great juju... but don’t just take my word for it, let them embrace you as part of the family. If you’re real lucky Dave just might pose in a picture for you.
