Grass Roots is, without a doubt, one of the Top 10 Medical Cannabis Dispensaries Statewide. I don't believe anyone else in this industry has visited more dispensaries than I have; I stopped counting at 500. Then comes the surrounding neighborhood of the dispensary and it's accessability as far as easy parking.  If you've ever had to park in San Francisco, Oakland, L.A., or Sacramento, you know what I mean.  Next, I look at the quality of the team behind it.  Another important aspect is the design of the facility.  9 out of 10 dispensaries will have the best cannabis in the world if they score well in the above-mentioned criteria; I guarantee it. If the team has paid attention to those few crucial details, they are definitely on top of their trade.

Grass Roots has done a genuinely superior job in meticulous detail. I remember the first time I met those guys.  It was right when we started Oaksterdam Media and I probably had about 30 dispensaries under my belt. So here we are, almost 3 years later and over 500 dispensaries visited, and Grass Roots has put down deep roots in their local community.  They have helped clean up the neighborhood with their presence. By joining with the San Francisco Police Department, they are working hard to keep it that way.

Should you walk into Grass Roots and find yourself shopping for your meds alongside of an SFPD officer, no worries- he's just doing his job. For the past 19 months Officer Hanley Chan has been doing his part in helping clean up the neighborhood.  His daily presence shows how dedicated he is to being of service to the neighborhood and working towards it's improvement. Some would say cannabis and cops don't mix, but collaboration goes a long way towards achieving a common goal. Older patients also appreciate the presence of the police, secure in the knowledge that help is near-- just in case.  As a result of the two forces working together the neighborhood has changed dramatically.

Whatever gains have been made, the joint effort continues.  As Officer Chan says, "Neighborhoods are like homes, They require daily cleaning or else, well you know... Thats why I'm here, cleaning house."
